USEFUL TIPS FOR HAPPY LIFE...............

  • Understand what it is that will make you happy. Everyone has unique requirements for attaining happiness and what makes one person happy may be very different from what makes someone else happy. Revel in your individuality and do not worry about whether or not your desires are comparable to those of your peers.
  • Make a plan for attaining goals that you believe will make you happy. Your mood will very likely increase as your pursue your goal because you will feel better about yourself for going after something you value.
  • Surround yourself with happy people. It is easy to begin to think negatively when you are surrounded by people who think that way. Conversely, if you are around people who are happy their emotional state will be infectious.

  • When something goes wrong try to figure out a solution instead of wallowing in self pity. Truly happy people don’t allow set backs to affect their mood because they know that with a little thought they can turn the circumstances back to their favor.
  • Spend a few minutes each day thinking about the things that make you happy. These few minutes will give you the opportunity to focus on the positive things in your life and will lead you to continued happiness.
  • It’s also important to take some time each day to do something nice for yourself. Whether you treat yourself to lunch, take a long, relaxing bath or simply spend a few extra minutes on your appearance you will be subconsciously putting yourself in a better mood.
  • Finding the humor in situations can also lead to happiness. While there are times that require you to be serious, when it is appropriate, find a way to make light of a situation that would otherwise make you unhappy.
  • Maintaining your health is another way to achieve happiness. Being overweight or not eating nutritious foods can have a negative effect on your mood. Additionally, exercise has been known to release endorphins that give you a feeling of happiness.
  • Finally, it is important to understand that you deserve happiness. Those who believe that they are not worthy of happiness may subconsciously sabotage their efforts to achieve happiness. If necessary, tell yourself each day that you deserve to be happy and remind yourself what steps you will take to achieve the happiness you desire.
Happiness is hard to define but most people are aware of whether they are happy or not. Many people believe that happiness is a form of luck and that some people are destined to be happy while others are destined to be unhappy. I try to incorporate the tips above into my life and have had great success in achieving happiness. The tips in this article are small but meaningful steps that you can take each day to lead you to true happiness

Ways To Be Happy

“Happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”
-Frederick Keonig

Let your natural emotions flow freely.

Sometimes life throws you lemons that test your resolve in unimaginable ways. When this happens, it’s okay to be angry, to cry your eyes out, and to seek answers. Let the emotions you’re experiencing come out in full force. It’s therapeutic. It’s healthy. It’s necessary. And expressing your emotions allows you to let go of your past.

Put the past behind you.

Figure out what happy means to you.

Be mindful of the present moment.

Be grateful.

Do the things you love today.

Call someone close to you and tell them you love them.

Here’s one of the easiest ways to be happy right now: pick up the phone, call a friend or family member you care about, and tell them you love them. If your life or the life of someone close to you ended suddenly, what’s the last thing you wish you could say? I love you. Say those three words as often as possible. Don’t let meaningful thoughts and fears in your life get in the way of telling people how you feel about them. You have the power to change someone’s life (and your own) with your words.

Love

Love is expressed as an action and experienced as a feeling. Yet, love has an essence that resists defining in any single way — it encompasses compassion, determination, tolerance, endurance, support, faith, and much more. If you're in the dark about how to love, this article should give you some food for thought, and perhaps teach you a little bit about how to love yourself, love the world, and love other people just a little bit more.

1
Accept your past. If you’ve been hurt in the past, you really need to begin to cope with that feeling before you can love someone else. You may feel that things you did in the past will make you unlovable, or that you have too many problems to be lovable. Maybe you feel that because your past relationships failed, all others are doomed to fail as well. But this is not the case and you should never feel for a moment that what has happened to you before will keep you from being happy now. Accept the things that happened to you, forgive, and move on.
2
Get rid of the list. You know the list: that compendium of requirements that a potential partner or friend must meet, kept in your head or even written down. Yeah, get rid of that. Recognize that by keeping such a list, you’re creating the person you want to be with, rather than meeting the person you’re meant to be with. Real people don’t fit in boxes. You can certainly keep in mind qualities that you want a person to have, but don’t require someone to meet all of them and make sure you’ve got your priorities in order.
3
Reconsider your priorities. If you’re putting a nice butt before a stable personality, you’re going to have a really tough time in relationships. Same goes for things like valuing friends who get you into the best clubs over friends who’ll hold your hair back while you puke. Take those items from your list (discussed above) and separate them out
4
Open yourself to new possibilities. Once you’ve given some hard thought to what really matters to you in your relationships, take another look at the people around you and the people that you meet every day. Maybe people you’d previously dismissed will suddenly seem okay. You’ll find...potential. And that’s all you need to start with. Potential may not feel like love at first sight, but it can grow into the most beautiful and stable love you’ve experienced. into wants vs needs. Then take a hard look at why you prioritize the things you do.
5
Love yourself. Before loving anyone else, you have to love yourself. This is important on so many levels. It will show you how to experience love, it will send a message to people you love that you are worth loving in return, and it will make you a better lover because you will not be hindered by self-doubt and confidence issues.
  • If you have problems loving yourself, then change yourself. Build your self confidence by doing something wonderful and being a better person. Conquer all of your bad habits that make you self-conscious. Just don’t expect to make yourself into the perfect person, because perfect people do not exist
6
Have something to offer others. When you go to start a relationship, be it romantic or platonic, you’ll want to be sure that you bring something to that relationship. Having nothing to offer will give you and probably the other person the sense that you are a leech. Work on giving as much as you take, in all your relationships, and you’ll be set for success.
7
Be vulnerable. Unfortunately, loving someone means that they can hurt you. This is normal and okay (and almost inevitable). But if you want to have real love, you need to allow yourself to open with that person. Don’t keep secrets from them, don’t pretend to be someone you aren’t, but instead give them the opportunity to know the real you.
8
Give it time. Don’t force love and don’t try to speed it up. This will only create false feelings which drain you emotionally and leave you feeling empty and unsatisfied. You can’t rush love. But believe that it will come because it most certainly will. You just have to find the right person.

1 Make a list of all the good things about yourself. There's got to be some things you love about yourself. Now the hard part is over. When your list is done, and you can't come up with anything else, move on to the fun part.
2
Love yourself! Have some you time. Remember that you are an amazing person and you deserve much better than what you had. Spend a little money on something you love to do. Buy yourself some fishing gear, or a have a spa day.
3
Love your friends! Hang out with your friends, and remind yourself that they're pretty awesome, too. You don't need a boyfriend/girlfriend to have fun. Love isn't all that matters. Enjoy your time with your friends, and do things that keep your mind off dating.
4
Have family time. Your family are likely very important people to you. Watch movies with them, go out to eat, do a traditional family activity. Don't worry about that cute girl/guy in the next row at the movie theater. You're having fun with your family, and nothing else matters at that moment.
5
Think of the good things about being single. You're free! You don't have to worry about looking perfect, or impressing your boyfriend/girlfriend. All you need to do is have a great time!
6
Do things you wouldn't be able to do if you were involved with someone.Whatever you want to do, do it. Remember that you don't have to worry about looking perfect for your big date with your sweetheart... because you don't need one!

pavakoothu
THOL PAVA KOOTHU is an ancient form of art in Kerala Temples (THOL = Leather; PAVA = PUPPET or DOLL; KOOTHU = SHOW)
This show is conducted as a ritual in the Bhagavathy temples of Malabar for centuries. This play with shadows remind of the old black and white films.
Animal leather is cleaned, dried, flat and cut in the shape of story characters, Human, Bovine or Aquatic. Being a shadow play, suitable holes are made for light effect from behind.
Stories from Hindu Epic like Ramayana are played in this. According to Hindu mythology this show was designed by Lord Shiva to please godess Badrakali. The latter was engaged in a battle with demon Darika during the time of RAMA RAVANA battle and felt sorry for not being able to witness the great battle. Lord Shiva redressed her grievance by showing the Rama-Ravana battle through THOL PAVA KOOTHU.
A white cloth about 20 feet long is fixed tightly without wrinkles as the screen. Below this a black cloth about 40 feet is also fitted tightly. This is done in special stage made for the show called KOOTHU MADAM. Specific dimensions are there for all these.
The white cloth depicts Earth and Heaven and the black PATHALAM the abode of Demons.
An arecanut tree log is fixed horizontaly in the required height behind the white screen. Depression are made in this log where coconut broken pieces with oil and cloth wicks are kept ready to be lightened.
Several religious rites are there to start the show. The KOMARAM of the temple who is supposed to represent the godess of the temple blesses the site of the show and gives an order to start the show. The artist offers prayers to God and lights the lamps behind the screen.
The artist who is an experienced master sings the story in the show with drum beats. He moves the leather made PAVAS in the required action and the shadow in the screen moves like performing artists. The viewers enjoy the drama in the shadows of the puppets.
Though this was confined to temples and epics, efforts are on to show modern episodes and stories of great men. Story of our father of the nation Mahathmaji is getting ready says a report.
Puppet shows similar to THOL PAVA KOOTHU of Kerala are there in checkoslovakia, Sicily and Japan. Probably there may be differences but they are contemporaries.

In Kerala, the elephants are made to stand for
nearly eight hours at a stretch in temple festivals
in hot sun and transported in lorries from one festival
place to another during the seasons.
"This reduces the lifespan of captive elephants.

Elephant spraying water

The Elephant Parade is assembled in the grounds of the Royal

The Elephant Parade is assembled in the grounds of the Royal
Hospital in all its splendour. There are hundreds of people wandering about,
apparently trying to make up their collection. All the elephants are
being touched up (no!!!!!! not that way) ready for sale, and it is quite
the party atmosphere. And of course I went round and photographed each one
